Indiana House District 69

A Home You Can Afford to Keep

Whether it's rent that keeps climbing, a mortgage that eats your paycheck, or a first home that feels out of reach — Chris will fight to make it possible to stay in the home and town you love.

Where She Stands

The kitchen-table issues that decide whether families make it

Child Care You Can Actually Afford

Our biggest export is our young people — and the number one reason they leave is that they can't afford to stay and raise kids here. Chris will push for income-based child care subsidies so families don't have to choose between working and staying close to home.

Care That You Can Count on Keeping

Losing coverage isn't usually about somebody's income going up. It's a form that didn't arrive, a requirement nobody explained, a program changed without warning. The bill lands the same either way, and for a lot of families it's more than they can pay. Chris will fight to keep coverage in place for the people who need it.

Work That Pays Enough to Build a Life On

You shouldn't work full time and still come up short. A single person in this district needs over $22 an hour to afford a one-bedroom. The state hands data centers a sales tax break that can run 50 years, on their equipment and the power they burn, while working people can't make rent.

Costs Going Up While Your Check Stays the Same

Every price increase hits harder on a fixed income. Chris will keep the focus on the everyday costs — utilities, groceries, prescriptions — that decide whether retirees and families on a tight budget can make it to the end of the month.

Whether Your Kid's School Has What It Needs

Good schools are how a community holds on to its next generation. Chris will fight for the funding, the teachers, and the vocational training that let our kids build a life close to home instead of having to leave for something better.

Decisions Made By People Who Live Here

What gets built next to your house, how your county spends the money it collects, whether a project moves in down the road: those calls used to be made by people you could find at the grocery store. More of them get made in Indianapolis every year, by people who have never driven your road. Chris will fight to keep those decisions where they belong.
